Thailand-Malaysia
Our philosophy in LifeCycle is to push boundaries and venture into areas of the world that will not only attract cyclists but will wet the appetite of the media and therefore the sponsors will follow. It has worked for 23 years and the beneficiaries of that philosophy have been the renal patients.
Thailand and Malaysia is a really fascinating area of the world in that, they are both popular destinations for the more adventurous traveler but are also very reasonably priced. Our trips to Japan in 2014 and of course to Vietnam , Laos and Cambodia in 2019 were hugely successful and it was inevitable we would return to South East Asia. The challenge will be another 2000km trip from Bangkok to Kuala Lumpur finishing at the incredible Hindu Shrine of Batu Caves. The cyclists can expect hot, humid conditions through a jungle landscape like we experienced in 2019. The terrain will vary as we cycle past rice fields and into National parks and long climbs the further south we go. We will be taking a strong Support team to assist the cyclists and have already established contacts over there to help us with local knowledge and logistical support. All in all we are really excited about this trip and we are confident of attracting another group of dedicated cyclists.
